Unexpected Changes with Anat Baniel Method® NeuroMovement®

Surprising Outcomes for a Child with Developmental Delays

Shared by Anat Baniel Method® NeuroMovement® Practitioner Peggy Chipkin

It is so gratifying to work with these children. Even the smallest change is cause for celebration. Often the changes are big, and sometimes unexpected. [Learn more: What can I expect when my child begins ABM Lessons?]

Some of the remarkable outcomes I have seen include a lovely 7-year-old girl brought to me to improve her balance. Born prematurely, she had hearing difficulty and somewhat delayed development.

After the first Anat Baniel Method (ABM) [NeuroMovement] lesson I gave her, her family noted she was more coordinated on her bicycle.

She is now running and jumping more smoothly and noticing herself how much more easily she moves.

After her third ABM lesson, she surprised her parents by becoming interested in doing her math homework, which had previously been challenging for her. Now, instead of leaving it for last, she chooses to do it first and with delight, because she finds it much easier.

The brain works in mysterious and miraculous ways. [Read What is Brain Plasticity?]

We don’t always know in what areas the outcome will be, but we expect miracles with our work!
