Stress is not all bad. Stress of the gravitational pull on our bones ensures their proper growth, formation, and continued integrity. The stimulation and demands coming to us from our surroundings are essential to the formation and maintenance of our cognitive, emotional, and social skills. When the stresses become too intense and prolonged, breakdowns in our ability to function can occur. One of the many factors generating stress is on-going uncertainty in important areas in our lives, such as finances, relationships, health, the well-being of our children, and more. Many of us have experienced great stress and some degree of breakdown in the past 2+ years. In this workshop you will discover concrete ways to bring yourself back into well-being in the face of inevitable and unavoidable stresses. We will do it through movement, through learning ways to unitize the 9 Essentials of NeuroMovement® in daily life, and through examining some of the common beliefs many of us hold that can intensify our experience of stress unnecessarily.

“Practical powerful strategies for building a better, stronger brain, supported by the neuroscience of brain plasticity.”–Michael M. Merzenich, PhD, Neuroscientist, Professor Emeritus UCSF, member of the National Academy of Sciences, author of Soft-Wired

“I’m feeling amazing! I have more energy, I feel like I can think more clearly, and I just feel so much more positive. It’s incredible!”–Jessica S, ABM NeuroMovement® student practitioner in training.
