James Baraz is the creator and teacher of the Awakening Joy course (since 2003). He has been a meditation teacher since 1978 and he leads retreats, workshops and classes in US and abroad. James is also co-author of the book Awakening Joy: 10 Steps to Happiness. In this book, he reveals his 10-step program, based on the curriculum of his popular “Awakening Joy” course, for how we can reorient our minds away from dissatisfaction and distraction and toward the contentment and delight that is abundantly available in our everyday lives.
In addition to James’ presentation of the course themes, each session will feature an inspiring guest speaker representing timeless wisdom and cutting-edge scientific insights about awakening joy in one’s life. Some of the guest presenters for this course include:
