Anat Baniel Method - Two Modalities

The Anat Baniel Method® NeuroMovement® has two main modalities:

  • 1. Functional Synthesis℠ (FS):
    Functional Synthesis sessions are individual one-on-one movement lessons. These private sessions are done with an Anat Baniel Method (ABM) certified practitioner. The ABM practitioner customizes the sessions to the particular needs and skills level of each client. Clients are called “students” because the purpose of the sessions is to bring about transformation through experiential learning. FS sessions are done with students as young as a few days old, all the way to people in their 90’s. The sessions are normally between 25 to 45 minutes long.
  • 2. Transformational Movement Lessons℠ (TML):
    These are verbally guided movement lessons that can be done individually, in groups, at home through DVD programs and through online programs. There are hundreds of different movement lessons that focus on different functions and movement skills. The lessons focus on enhancing brain function, leading to transformational outcomes in the areas of rapid increases in flexibility, strength, pain relief, acquisition of new skills and improvement of existing ones, mental clarity, vitality, and well-being.

ABM DVD and Online Video and Audio Programs

You can experience and benefit from the method in different ways. You may choose to start by doing any of the Anat Baniel Method DVD and Online Video and Audio Programs. We generally recommend that you begin with the Healthy Backs, Introductory Program DVD.

Private Lessons with an ABM Practitioner

Depending on your condition and needs, you may want to start by taking some private sessions with an ABM Practitioner. You can search for an ABM Practitioner in your area by clicking on Find a Practitioner button at the top of this page.

ABM Workshops and Seminars
